LOS ANGELES — As the 2026 MLB season begins this week, the Los Angeles Dodgers are not just the favorites to win the World Series — they are projected to dominate the regular season at a historic level.

According to updated win totals from BetOnline.ag, the Dodgers now carry an over/under of 103½ wins, the highest in Major League Baseball by a wide margin and a four-game increase from their opening projection of 99½ in January. No other team enters the season with a projected total above 91 wins.

The surge reflects growing confidence in a Dodgers roster that oddsmakers and analysts alike view as the most complete in baseball. Their +4 jump in projected wins is tied for the largest increase of any team this spring, alongside the Chicago White Sox, New York Mets and Pittsburgh Pirates.

The gap between the Dodgers and the rest of the league is striking. The New York Mets, New York Yankees and Seattle Mariners are all tied for the second-highest projected win total at 90½ — a full 13 games behind Los Angeles. The defending National League contenders, including the Philadelphia Phillies (89½) and Chicago Cubs (88½), also trail significantly.

The Dodgers’ projection places them in rare territory. If they reach or exceed that 103-win mark, it would mark yet another 100-win season for a franchise that has set the standard for regular-season excellence over the past decade. More importantly, it reinforces their status as the team to beat heading into October.

Around the league, projections have shifted notably over the past 10 weeks. Ten teams saw their win totals increase, while 14 teams dropped and six remained unchanged. Among the biggest risers, the Mets climbed from 86½ to 90½, signaling strong expectations in the National League race. Meanwhile, several contenders saw declines, including the Yankees (-3), Phillies (-3), and Toronto Blue Jays (-4), suggesting a more uncertain outlook outside of Los Angeles.

At the other end of the spectrum, the Washington Nationals experienced the largest drop, falling five games from 69½ to 64½. The Miami Marlins, St. Louis Cardinals and Blue Jays also saw notable declines of four games each.

The season officially gets underway Wednesday with the San Francisco Giants hosting the New York Yankees, kicking off what is expected to be another long campaign that increasingly begins in colder early-spring conditions.

But as teams take the field, the spotlight will remain firmly on Los Angeles.

With a projected 100-win baseline and the shortest odds to win the World Series, the Dodgers aren’t just expected to contend — they are expected to dominate.
