LOS ANGELES -- Major League Baseball announced today that it has approved a roster substitution for the Los Angeles Dodgers due to an injury sustained by left-handed pitcher Tanner Scott. As a result, Scott will be replaced by left-handed pitcher Justin Wrobleski on Los Angeles’ roster vs. the Philadelphia Phillies in the National League Division Series.
MLB Postseason rules state that a Club may request permission from the Commissioner’s Office to replace a player who is unable to play because of an injury. The Commissioner’s Office may approve or disapprove the request based on the specific facts and circumstances.
In accordance with the rules, Scott will be ineligible to return in the National League Championship Series presented by loanDepot if the Dodgers participate, but he would be eligible to return for the World Series presented by Capital One if Los Angeles qualifies.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts announced after Wednesday's loss that Scott was away from the team due to personal reasons and would later confirm that the 31-year-old southpaw had a lower-body incision.
Scott signed a four-year, $72 million contract with Los Angeles this past offseason and in 57 innings pitched in 2025, accumulated a 4.74 ERA with 60 punchouts. Wrobleski is getting the call to replace Scott, and across the 66.2 innings pitched this season, the 25-year-old left-hander had a 4.32 ERA and 76 strikeouts.
