INDIANAPOLIS -- The superstars of the Los Angeles Sparks and Las Vegas Aces are gearing up for one of the most highly anticipated WNBA All-Star Games in history. Kelsey Plum (Los Angeles Sparks), A'ja Wilson (Las Vegas Aces), and Jackie Young (Las Vegas Aces) will be suiting up for a Team Collier vs. Team Clark Showdown on Saturday night at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
Plum will also participate in the 3-point contest Friday, her second in her WNBA career. Now that Caitlin Clark has announced that she will not be moving forward in the competition due to a right groin injury sustained on Tuesday, the Sparks' All-Star guard has emerged as a dark horse.

Rules and Format Changes for the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game in Indianapolis
There are some major format changes for the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game.
The league announced that new rules are being put into effect for the purpose of providing added excitement and an engaging pace of play.
Major change deserves major sponsors
AT&T will be the first-ever sponsor of the AT&T 4-Point Shot at the 2025 AT&T WNBA All-Star Game. Any shot made from the AT&T 4-point area will earn players four points. Additionally, AT&T will make a donation to foundations supported by the WNBA and selected players for every AT&T 4-Point Shot made.
Live Substitutions
Similar to hockey, teams can make "hockey-like substitutions" while the ball is in play. To do so, the following requirements must be met:
- Only the offensive team can make live-play substitutions, with a limit of one player substitution per possession
- Only one player can exit and another enter the court while the team has possession of the ball in the backcourt between the 28-foot mark and the half-court line
- The substitute player cannot touch the ball in the backcourt
Shorter shot clock
The shot clock will be 4 seconds shorter than last year's 24-second shot clock, meaning that players have 20 seconds in this year's WNBA All-Star Game to score the ball.
No free throws
Only during the last two minutes of the fourth quarter and the entirety of any overtime periods are the players allowed to shoot free throws. Outside of this, players will be credited for their free throws automatically.
