INGLEWOOD, Calif. — Soccer fans packed Cosm Los Angeles on Sunday morning for an immersive Premier League watch party that brought the sights and sounds of English soccer to Hollywood Park.
Supporters gathered to watch Premier League matches in Cosm’s massive LED dome while also taking photos with the coveted Premier League trophy as part of the league’s official “Premier League Live” event.
The featured attraction was Newcastle United’s match against West Ham United, which was shown through Cosm’s “Shared Reality” technology that placed fans virtually inside St. James’ Park in Newcastle, England.
In addition to the marquee matchup, fans watched several other Premier League games throughout the morning in Cosm’s Hall, including Brentford vs. Crystal Palace, Everton vs. Sunderland, Leeds United vs. Brighton & Hove Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers vs. Fulham.
The family-friendly event also featured soccer-themed activations and opportunities for supporters to get close to the Premier League trophy, one of the most recognizable prizes in global sports.
The watch party was hosted in partnership with the Premier League, Cosm and Greater Together LA, a weeklong initiative celebrating economic and cultural ties between the United Kingdom and the United States.
“For us, we’re so excited to be partnering with Greater Together LA to bring the Premier League Live watch party here at Cosm,” Premier League U.S. Managing Director Akash Jain said during the event. “It allows all our fans to come together to celebrate their passion for their favorite clubs, their favorite players and just watch all the amazing football.”
Jain, who previously worked with the NBA and NFL, said events like Sunday’s help create local connections with fans in the United States while continuing to grow the Premier League’s footprint ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America.
“We want to bring a lot of those characteristics, those experiences here to the U.S.,” Jain said. “Many of our fans don’t get to travel to the UK to experience that amazing matchday atmosphere.”
Cosm’s growing role in global soccer coverage will continue into next year’s FIFA World Cup. FOX Sports and Cosm recently announced plans to showcase 40 FIFA World Cup 2026 matches in Shared Reality at Cosm venues in Los Angeles, Dallas and Atlanta, including all three U.S. Men’s National Team group-stage matches and the World Cup final on July 19.
Using the same immersive technology featured during Sunday’s Premier League event, Cosm will transport fans inside World Cup stadiums through its 87-foot-diameter, 12K+ LED domes, giving supporters a pitchside-style viewing experience for one of the world’s largest sporting events.
“At FOX Sports, our goal is to make the world’s biggest events feel even bigger, and teaming up with Cosm allows us to do that quite literally — on the biggest immersive screen in live sports,” FOX Sports senior vice president Michael Bucklin said in a statement announcing the partnership.
Paul Rennie, the United Kingdom’s consul general in Los Angeles representing Greater Together LA, said the event highlighted the growing sports and cultural connection between Los Angeles and the UK.
“People in LA just love sports. They love great sports,” Rennie said. “And that’s what the Premier League brings.”
Cosm has quickly become one of the most unique sports-viewing venues in Los Angeles through its immersive dome technology, which uses live stadium feeds and massive LED displays to simulate being inside some of the world’s biggest sporting venues. Sunday’s event gave Premier League fans what organizers described as the next best thing to being in England for matchday while also offering a glimpse of how many fans may experience the FIFA World Cup in 2026.
