First Pick: Lakers -6.5

Rundown: The “Battle of Los Angeles” is in full swing tonight as the Clippers face the Lakers, with tipoff set for 8 p.m. The Lakers enter this matchup as one of the hottest teams in basketball (8–2 in last 10 games), while the Clippers come in as one of the coldest (2–8 in last 10 games). Luka Doncic has led the charge for the Lakers this season, averaging 34.5 points and 8.9 assists per game. On the other side, 36-year-old James Harden, in his 17th season, has been the leading scorer for the Clippers, putting up 27.8 points per game.

Doncic’s Lakers have performed well against the spread this season, owning an 11–5 record, while the Clippers are an underwhelming 5–12 ATS. The Clippers rank 19th in the NBA in points allowed at 117.2 per game, a number that has favored the Lakers, who are 9–0 this season when they score more than 117 points. Look for the Lakers to win their fifth straight in dominant fashion.

Second Pick: USC -7.5

Rundown: The undefeated USC Trojans (5-0) match up with the undefeated Seton Hall Pirates (6-0) in the Southwest Maui Invitational today in Lahaina, Hawaii, with tip-off scheduled for 2 p.m. Seton Hall and USC are fresh off wins in the quarterfinals, with the Pirates knocking off No. 23 NC State and the Trojans taking down Boise State.

In four games as a 7.5 point favorite or more, the Trojans have covered three times. USC’s No. 14 offense (94.4 PPG) going up against Seton Hall’s No. 4 defense should make for one of the most compelling matchups of the night. The winner of this game will move on to the finals to face the winner of Washington State and Arizona State.

Third Pick: CAL +8.5

Rundown: The UCLA Bruins and the Cal Bears each enter tonight’s matchup at the Chase Center with 5-1 records and are both looking to win their third consecutive game. The Bears are 4-2 against the spread this season, while the Bruins are just 2-3 ATS when favored by 8.5 points or more. Each team has lost the only game they were not favored in. UCLA's 10th ranked defense in the nation could pose some trouble for the Bears offense that ranks 94th in the country. This matchup between two intriguing teams has the makings of a one-possession game late.
