LOS ANGELES -- The outlook on the Dodgers' future is surely looking brighter as Los Angeles announced that their top two prospects, who rank among MLB's top 20 overall prospects list, Josue De Paula and Zyhir Hope, have been promoted to the Double-A Tulsa Drillers.

De Paula, 20, has had a special 2025 thus far, producing a slashline of .263/.406/.421, with 12 home runs, 32 stolen bases in 98 games played. The number one-ranked prospect in the Dodgers' farm system was signed by Los Angeles for $397,500 in 2022.

The left-hander burst onto the scene quickly as he had himself a slashline of .268/.404/.405 with 10 homers between two Class A stops at age 19 in 2024. He showed immense bat speed and would smoke balls harder than anyone in his age group, and grouped that with a wRC+ of 136.

During this year's All-Star festivities, De Paula secured himself the 2025 Futures Game MVP after launching a home run that set the momentum for the National League, securing the victory against the American League and becoming the first international prospect since 2016 to win MVP.

Hope, 20, has produced a slashline of .264/.377/.428 with 13 home runs, 26 stolen bases in 524 plate appearances this season with the Great Lakes Loons.

The 20-year-old outfielder was not a member of the Dodgers from the jump, as he was signed by the Chicago Cubs in 2023 for $400,000, but after just six months in the Cubs organization, both he and pitching prospect Jackson Ferris were dealt to Los Angeles in exchange for the Dodgers' infielder Michael Busch and reliever Yency Almonte.

Hope also displays a high volume of bat speed and pairs that with excellent defense in the outfield. Since his 2025 season began, Hope has made improvements in his swing, which was primarily due to him putting on some muscle, and that has correlated with his ability to pull pitches for power.
