CARSON, Calif. -- The LA Galaxy announced today the signing of defender Chris Rindov to a first-team contract. The deal will see the 23-year-old center back stay in LA through the 2026 MLS season, with club options for 2027 and 2028.
Rindov, who was previously on a short-term agreement from the club’s MLS NEXT Pro affiliate, Ventura County FC, has already made two appearances for the first team. He earned his first start at centerback in a 3-0 victory over the Colorado Rapids on August 23 and came on as a substitute in the club’s Leagues Cup Third-Place victory against Orlando City.

“Since joining the Galaxy family with Ventura County FC, Chris has not only demonstrated an excellent work ethic and strong defensive instincts but has shown himself to be a selfless teammate and leader,” said LA Galaxy General Manager Will Kuntz. “His development is a testament to the great work being done to create a competitive environment that prepares our MLS NEXT Pro players for the challenges of MLS.”
A former Second Round MLS SuperDraft pick by Sporting Kansas City in 2023, Rindov joined Ventura County FC for the 2025 season. He quickly became a defensive pillar for VCFC and stood out to head coach Greg Vanney.
"I've seen it all year in the second team, I feel like he's one of the stabilizing forces to that group," Vanney said after last Sunday's Third-Place match. "As I've gotten to know him and see him do his work on a daily basis, he is one of the most disciplined individuals in this building. I think he plays the game in a very focused way."
Next, the LA Galaxy travel to the Lone-Star state for a rescheduled match against the Houston Dynamo, Sat. September 6 at 5:30 p.m. on Apple TV's MLS Season Pass.
