Major League Soccer confirmed the LA Galaxy’s postponed road match against the Houston Dynamo will now be played Saturday, September 6 at 5:30 p.m. PT at Shell Energy Stadium and on Apple TV’s MLS Season Pass.

The match, originally slated for July 25, was called off due to inclement weather after a four-hour delay.

Videos posted to social media showed the water-logged pitch after hours of heavy rain and lightning in and around Houston.

The rescheduled date slots into a critical stretch for the Galaxy, who will face three matches in 11 days:

  • Aug 30: Home vs. FC Dallas

  • Sep 6: At Houston Dynamo (rescheduled)

  • Sep 13: Home vs. Seattle Sounders

The Galaxy will also have Leagues Cup and a high-profile matchup with Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami earlier in August, adding to an already congested schedule.
