LAS VEGAS -- The WWE and Las Vegas are ready for Round 3.
WrestleMania 42 will take place at Allegiant Stadium on April 17 and 18, 2026, making it the second time in a row that Las Vegas will host pro wrestling’s marquee event. It will be the first time since 1988 and 1989 that a WrestleMania will occur in the same venue in back-to-back years.
“Going into Las Vegas, when you have record-shattering, biggest WrestleMania of all time in Vegas, it’s great to say we’ll be going back to the entertainment capital of the world, and we look forward to breaking this year’s records there,’ said Paul Levesque, also known as Triple H, the company’s chief content officer.
Three of a Kind
This will be the third time that WrestleMania takes place in Las Vegas, putting it only two behind the Los Angeles/Inglewood area (5). Other venues that have hosted WrestleMania three times include Orlando, New York, Arlington, and Chicago.
The company set record numbers with the recent iteration, attracting an announced crowd of 124,693 over the two nights to create the largest gate in WWE history. True numbers of actual revenue will be released once TKO, the WWE’s parent company, releases Q2 earnings.
Always in the Cards
Once news of the WWE pulling the event out of New Orleans, the speculation was a return to Las Vegas.
Fans hoped for the possibility of non-North America WrestleMania, but multiple reports touted Las Vegas as the likely host of the event.
Sources told The Sporting Tribune that discussions between the City of Las Vegas and WWE regarding the possibility of hosting WrestleMania began earlier this year.
As of May 22, only a few details remained: the turnaround time since a concert was booked in Allegiant Stadium during that time and an exploration of turnaround time and the location of the popular WWE World convention, as the Las Vegas Convention Center’s West Hall was booked for the same weekend.
Things seemed to have worked out, as the announcement was named two weeks later.
Money in the Bank, Worlds Collide Take Place in Los Angeles
The WWE hosted a pair of events at the Kia Forum and Intuit Dome on Saturday.
Money in the Bank surpassed the Jan. 6 event in terms of the gate and announced attendance of 17,374, combined with another expected 10,000 who attended World’s Collide.
“L.A. has always been a special place for so many entertainment groups, but especially for WWE,” Levesque said. “It goes so far back. Today is no different. In this building, the Inuit Dome, the partnership here is so great. The building is incredible. The technology that is here. The fans that will come to these events. It’s a special place.
“It just made for an amazing day.”
