The Los Angeles Chargers released their schedule as did the rest of the other 31 teams in the NFL.
They will travel to Brazil, Florida (twice), New York just to name a few places. They will have five primetime games for now with the last two weeks being “to be determined” just depending on if they are in playoff contention.
The Chargers will be on a redemption tour in 2025 after their first round exit last year in the playoffs.
So, what will their record be in 2025?
Here it is:
Week 1: Chiefs at Chargers (São Paulo, Brazil)
Got hit the ground running and against a team that has been running the division for nine seasons. Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is already complaining about the field conditions and how humid it is going to be in São Paulo.
Prediction: Win (1-0)
Week 2: Chargers at Raiders (MNF)
Coming off a mini bye so early after traveling from São Paulo and waiting an extra day to play? Not a good recipe for a win especially with Pete Carroll on the other side. Chargers have more talent on their team but the Raiders will get the better of them this night.
Prediction: Loss (1-1)
Week 3: Broncos at Chargers
The Broncos have improved their secondary that was already one of the best in the league, so how do you combat that? Run, Forest, Run! This is going to be an Omarian Hampton and Najee Harris game. Tire out the defense and by the 4th quarter big runs will happen.
Prediction: Win (2-1)
Week 4: Chargers at Giants
It could be Russell Wilson, Jameis Winston, Jaxson Dart, doesn’t matter Chargers in four… quarters. The Giants have improved on both sides of the ball but that team has no identity and there are question marks about their GM and head coach.
Prediction: Win (3-1)
Week 5: Commanders at Chargers
This is going to be a very tough game. If these are the same Commanders as last year then the Chargers defense is going to have their hands full chasing around quarterback Jayden Daniels. There could also be a guitar celebration in the end zone that is all too familiar to Chargers fans.
Prediction: Loss (3-2)
should we REALLY make our schedule release video in minecraft?

Week 6: Chargers at Dolphins
The Miami Dolphins are a team that Justin Herbert and the offense should take advantage of their defense. Miami is unraveling by this point and the Chargers traveling to Brazil gets them ready for another humid game.
Prediction: Win (4-2)
Week 7: Colts at Chargers
The Colts have improved in the offseason and will be a tough team to face. Shane Steichen is a good offensive mind but the problem is who his quarterback is going to be at this point. Best bet is Daniel Jones but against the Chargers defense he will struggle.
Prediction: Win (5-2)
Week 8: Vikings at Chargers (TNF)
JJ McCarthy faces off against his former head coach Jim Harbaugh and defensive coordinator Jesse Minter. They know what areas McCarthy struggles in, so expect them to exploit them.
Prediction: Win (6-2)
Week 9: Chargers at Titans
Chargers defense against rookie quarterback Cam Ward will be an interesting challenge. By this point the Chargers defense has seen Mahomes, Daniels and Nix, so they will be prepared when they see Ward.
Prediction: Win (7-2)
Week 10: Steelers at Chargers (SNF)
Aaron Rodgers or Mason Rudolph? The Steelers got the better of the Chargers last year in Pittsburgh so Los Angeles will give them some payback and hand them a similar result.
Prediction: Win (8-2)
Week 11: Chargers at Jaguars
A five game win streak, the bye is next week and traveling to the east coast for a 10 am game? It is just going to be hard to pull a victory out of this one. Travis Hunter and Brian Thomas Jr. could give the secondary fits.
Prediction: Loss (8-3)
Week 12: Bye Week
Get to rest up before the most grueling part of their schedule.
Week 13: Raiders at Chargers
Carroll vs. Harbaugh II. Jim’s team is at home and is coming off their bye week, so this has to be a victory. This will also be their second crack at Ashton Jeanty.
Prediction: Win (9-3)
Week 14: Eagles at Chargers (MNF)
Facing the Super Bowl Champions is not going to be easy especially when they have a workhorse like Saquon Barkley. The Eagles are weaker but the Chargers aren’t there yet to be able to go toe-to-toe against Philly.
Prediction: Loss (9-4)
Week 15: Chargers at Chiefs
It is going to be a tough task for the Chargers to sweep a team that is still one of the best in football. The Chiefs rebound here but it is a very close result with a Harrison Butker field goal to win it.
Prediction: Loss (9-5)
Week 16: Chargers at Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys could be fighting for a division spot with Dan Prescott at the helm or have a losing record with Joe Milton as their quarterback. Either way the Chargers have a better head coach and quarterback.
Prediction: Win (10-5)
Week 17: Texans at Chargers (TBD)
The rematch that all Chargers fans have wanted since losing to the Texans in the embarrassing fashion in the wild card round. The Chargers have re-tooled and fixed most of their weaknesses that were exploited by Houston.
Prediction: Win (11-5)
Week 18: Chargers at Broncos (TBD)
The Chargers will be locked into a playoff spot (Who knows which one but they are playoff bound), so they will learn from the same dilemma and rest players. Trey Lance will be the starting quarterback.
Prediction: Loss (11-6)
Final Thoughts: The Chargers will be 11-6 and a wild card team in 2026. After that it is a toss up on what will happen but this team is good enough to take the next step in the Harbaugh Era.
