Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Teoscar Hernandez (37) celebrates after a double during the first inning against the Miami Marlins at Dodger Stadium.

LOS ANGELES – The Miami Marlins were unable to stop the Dodgers' offense, which scored 15 runs—the most this season—resulting in a 15-2 victory on Women’s Night at Dodger Stadium in front of 46,502 fans.

The Dodgers have been excelling at home this season, winning 14 out of 17 games at Dodger Stadium. Despite facing challenges on the road with a 6-7 record, the Dodgers remain at the top of their division, while the San Francisco Giants have dropped to third place behind the Padres.

Teoscar Hernández is having another impressive season with the Dodgers after an outstanding first year. In the first inning, Hernández batted a double to center field, allowing Freddie Freeman to score. He quickly followed that up in the second inning with another double, this time bringing Shohei Ohtani across the plate. Hernández continued to excel, hitting a two-run single in the seventh inning and adding an RBI single in the eighth. These efforts have contributed to his MLB-leading total of 31 RBIs this season.

There are things that happen in our careers that you’re always going to remember. This game is not easy,” Hernandez said.

Hernández is enjoying one of the best stretches of his career, as this marks the second time in a week that he has driven in four RBIs in a single game. He went 4-for-5 at the plate, significantly boosting the performance of his teammates. The Dodgers recorded a season-high total of 18 hits as a team.

Ohtani kicked off the rally in the first inning with a massive home run, marking his second leadoff home run of the season and the 14th of his career. This was also Ohtani’s first home run since becoming a father and his seventh home run of the season. Additionally, he stole his eighth base, bringing him closer to the possibility of another remarkable 50-50 season.

“It was a good home run to get and get back on the board for this game,” Ohtani said. “Having hit one since being a father is a really nice one to be able to do that,”

The Dodgers' offense exploded in the sixth inning, scoring four runs. Will Smith hit a double with the bases loaded, and then Tommy Edman followed up with a double to left field, bringing in his 24th RBI of the season.

Andy Pages has been on fire over the past two weeks, earning Player of the Week honors last week. He continued his impressive performance by hitting his sixth home run of the season in the eighth inning and finishing the game with a 3-for-5 batting record. This hit also extended his hitting streak to seven games. The success of both Hernandez and Pages seems to create a bit of friendly competition between them.

“There is some type of commonality in Andy and Teo’s success together,” Roberts said. “They certainly have a big brother, little brother relationship. There is a little something of I’m still the big brother,”

Meanwhile, Mookie Betts rebounded on Tuesday, going 2-for-4 after struggling with a 2-for-17 performance over his previous four games.

This is the first time this season that the Dodgers have scored 11 runs or more. Previously, they did not achieve 10 hits in any of their first 17 games, but since then, they have done so in nine of their last 13 games. Additionally, the Dodgers recorded eight walks and only five strikeouts against the Marlins' pitching.

The Dodgers scored seven runs against right-hander Sandy Alcantara in just 2 ⅔ innings, during which he issued five walks. Alcantara threw 79 pitches and recorded another loss, bringing his season record to 2-3 with an ERA of 8.31. The Marlins' bullpen also struggled, allowing four additional runs. Right-hander George Soriano gave up six hits in 1 ⅔ innings, raising his season ERA to 9.37.

Given the pitching challenges the Dodgers are facing, Roberts chose to use a bullpen game, starting left-hander Jack Dreyer. Dreyer promptly surrendered an RBI single to Dane Myers, which accounted for the only run he allowed. He completed the game with two innings pitched, giving up two hits and one run while recording three strikeouts.

Right-hander Matt Sauer pitched five innings, allowing five hits and striking out four batters. Before the game, the Dodgers announced that they had recalled Sauer and optioned right-hander Noah Davis. Sauer emerged as the unexpected hero of the game, assisting the bullpen in resetting as they wrap up the home stand on Wednesday before heading to Atlanta on Friday.

“I can’t say enough about his performance,” Roberts said. “He got his first major league win, which was great, and to chew up five innings was big.”

The Dodgers have announced that right-hander Tony Gonsolin will take the mound on Wednesday for his season debut. He will face Marlins’ right-hander Cal Quantrill, who has a record of 2-2 and an ERA of 7.83. The Dodgers are aiming to sweep the series before heading to Atlanta for three games, after which they will return to Miami for another matchup against the Marlins.
