LOS ANGELES -- It was an exciting ending for the Dodges as they get a walk-off win to begin their three-game series against the Miami Marlins, all thanks to Tommy Edman, who was not even in the lineup to begin the day as he had a scheduled day off. Dustin May had a solid outing tonight as he went 5.1 innings pitched, allowing three earned runs on five hits on three walks, and three strikeouts.

Shohei Ohtani led off the Dodgers' bottom half of the first with a single and would swipe second base for his seventh stolen bag. A Mookie Betts lineout advanced Ohtani to third, which set up Freddie Freeman to attack a low and away sinker for an RBI single to put Los Angeles up early, 1-0. The Dodgers would tack on two more in the third and fourth as Betts would hit an RBI single with the bases loaded. Miguel Rojas got in on the fun as he hit an RBI double down the left field line to cap off back-to-back innings of offense.
Teoscar Hernandez continues to bring the rain wherever he goes, as he launched his ninth long ball of the year in the bottom of the fifth. It was a two-run shot that put the Dodgers ahead 5-0 and marked his fourth homerun in nine games for the right-fielder.

The Marlins tacked on their only run against May as Eric Wagaman hit an RBI single to center. This is where the momentum would shift towards the Marlins' way, as after May was replaced on the mound by Anthony Banda with two runners on, he would walk Connor Norby to begin his outing and load the bases. Dane Myers came out to the plate as a pinch-hitter and unloaded on a 3-1 green light fastball and hit a go-ahead grand slam to tie the game.

This game would head into extras, and Miami would strike the first blow as Jesus Sanchez hit an RBI double off Kirby Yates to give the Marlins their first lead of the game heading into the bottom of the tenth. The Dodgers struck back with the execution blow with some small ball as Andy Pages began the inning with a walk and Kike Hernandez would lay down a bunt down the right field line to put the tying and winning run in scoring position. Tommy Tanks wasted no time putting his mark in this game as he smacked a first-pitch sweeper down the first base that allowed Michael Conforto and Pages to walk into home and walk off the Marlins, 6-5.
