OSHKOSH, Wis. – On the first night of their final back-to-back, the San Diego Clippers (12-21) played the Wisconsin Herd (18-15) and lost 107-95 at the Oshkosh Arena.

This was San Diego’s seventh straight loss, and frankly has been downhill for the last several weeks of the season.

Scoring efforts were led by Trentyn Flowers with 22 points, and then both Patrick Baldwin Jr. and  Izaiah Brockington both had 14 points of their own.

Henry Ellenson led the way for the Herd with 30 points on 13-22 from the field.

As a team, the Clippers shot 46.3% on field goals, and a measly 27.3% from beyond the arc. Interestingly enough, the Herd also only shot 48.8% on field goals and 26.5% from 3 point land. So where did the 12 point loss come from? Wisconsin basically edged out San Diego the entire game, winning every single quarter except the third, but in the stats also just out did San Diego at every corner.

Rebounding, steals and turnovers, all barely won by the Herd. With that being said, if San Diego had cleaned up a few of their defensive mistakes, this game could have been vastly different. They were holding pace with the Herd early in the game, thanks to an early 3 point barrage before they went cold.

It’s just one of those late season losses that is unfortunate but slightly inevitable. The Clippers will stay where they are, for their last game of the season against the Herd. The game will be played on Saturday, March 29 with tip-off at Oshkosh Arena at 5 p.m.
