Irish middleweight contender Stevie McKenna has signed a long-term promotional deal with Zuffa Boxing and will make his return to the ring on June 6 at Bournemouth International Centre in Bournemouth, England.
McKenna (15-1, 14 KOs) will face American veteran Casey James Streeter (15-3-2, 6 KOs) on the undercard of Zuffa Boxing 07, headlined by cruiserweight contender Chris Billam-Smith against Canadian knockout artist Ryan Rozicki. The card also features an all-British cruiserweight clash between Jack Massey and Cheavon Clarke.
Hailing from Monaghan, Ireland, McKenna turned pro in 2019 following a decorated amateur career that included gold medals at the Haringey Box Cup and the Commonwealth Youth Games. He ran off 15 consecutive wins, 11 of them by stoppage inside three rounds, before dropping a majority decision to Lee Cutler this past December in a fight many considered an early contender for bout of the year.
Streeter, out of Portland, Maine, makes his UK debut after a TKO loss to Leo Ruiz at Zuffa Boxing 03.
The McKenna signing continues Zuffa Boxing's push to build out its middleweight roster with action-forward fighters who carry legitimate knockout power. With McKenna and Cutler both now under the Zuffa banner, a rematch between the two could be a natural target down the road as the promotion looks to establish its own divisional pecking order.
The event will broadcast live on Sky Sports in the UK and Ireland and stream exclusively on Paramount+ in the United States and Canada.
