LOS ANGELES -- LAFC gave media members and influencers a taste of what's ahead for the 2026 season, hosting a Culinary Media Day and Food Tasting at BMO Stadium on Wednesday. The event showcased the food program curated by Executive Chef Hugo Miranda and his crew in partnership with Legends Hospitality.
The new lineup was ambitious and flavorful. Media sampled concessions items such as the King's Hawaiian Mini Slider Plate, Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, Triple Beam Pizzas, K-BBQ Pork Belly and Beef Short Rib Nachos, Rotisserie Char Siu Duck and Spicy Bulgogi Beef Empanadas.
Fans who purchase suite and club tickets can also expect options such as a Baja Taco Platter, Tuna Ceviche, Shrimp Egg Roll Lettuce Wrap and Dark Chocolate Raspberry Cake.
Going along with the menu were a range of 1800 Tequila cocktails, including the 1800 Passionfruit Pineapple Margarita, the 1800 Jamaica Margarita and the stadium's signature Black & Gold Margarita.
For Miranda, the goal is to redefine expectations for stadium cuisine.
"A lot of people get it confused when you say stadium chef," he said. "They think about hot dogs and nachos. We don't do that here. I see LAFC and BMO Stadium as boutique. We can do amazing food."
With a diverse menu that blends global flavors and premium presentation, LAFC is positioning BMO Stadium as more than just a venue for soccer and concerts. It's a destination for culinary experience as well.
My recommendations:
After sampling a plethora of items, here are the four that I would recommend during your next visit to BMO Stadium.
1. K-BBQ Pork Belly Nachos
This was such a fun twist on a stadium classic. The pork belly was tender and layered with a savory-sweet flavor in every bite. It was a great balance of heat, crunch and richness.
2. Flamin' Island Dog
Please do not mistake this for your average hot dog. It brings a sweet heat with toppings that pack a flavorful punch.
3. Taco Trio
Packed with steak, chicken and shrimp, this taco has something for everyone. It's a mix of tenderness and flavor that creates a must-try for fans who want variety without having to compromise.
4. Mango Lime Cheesecake
I, of course, had to throw in a sweet treat recommendation. This cheesecake was light, creamy and refreshing. The sweetness of the mango paired with the subtle hint of lime makes this dessert a standout that won't leave you feeling too full after a big meal.
