LAS VEGAS -- By day, Dominique Pender navigates complex financial landscapes as a Vice President at Citibank. On Sundays, however, the official wearing number 114 must police a different kind of volatility. At Allegiant Stadium, Pender was forced to sprint across a 30-yard gap and hurdle sideline benches to break up a benches-clearing brawl between the New York Giants and Las Vegas Raiders.
Pender isn't one to hesitate, however. Just look at the tape.
Dominique Pender got a teaching degree at Columbia, a finance degree at Howard, and is a VP at Citibank.

He's also an NFL referee.

As discipline crumbled between two franchises defined by disappointment, Giants cornerback Rico Payton shoved Raiders cornerback Chigozie Anusiem into a Gatorade cooler. Anusiem retaliated, tackling Payton as the two began exchanging blows.
"Not condoning fighting in the NFL, but just wondering: Where were the other Raiders to help out that guy getting his head handed to him?" a fan tweeted.

"Whoever’s behind that voice should never be allowed on a sideline again," one fan reacted online, referring to viral footage captured by LPG – NYG that featured aggressive commentary.

"Yea, certain languages gave it away," another user wrote regarding the viral clips.
Like most struggling teams, the Giants and Raiders had a hard time keeping their composure. A separate heated exchange occurred involving Raiders safety Jamal Adams and Giants quarterback Jameis Winston, who intervened aggressively after a tackle on receiver Wan'Dale Robinson.

Jamal Adam’s gets into the face of a coach then, Jameis Winston steps in.

Also gone is any hope for a winning record. The Raiders fell to 2-14 and the Giants to 3-13. The sideline eruption served as the flashpoint for a 34-10 loss that handed Las Vegas the No. 1 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft to boost a roster that's been lacking unity.
For the internet, maybe it was comedy, but for the rest of the league? Once again, the Giants and Raiders might beg to differ, no matter who secured the top pick.
