International duty is right around the corner. Angel City's Gisele Thompson, Riley Tiernan and Evelyn Shores have been called up to the Under-23 U.S. Women's National Team rosters ahead of training camp and matches in Europe.

The trio will join 17 other players called up by new head coach Heather Dyche for camps and matches running from Nov. 22 to Dec. 1, including a match against the whole Slovakia Women’s National Team and the England U-23 WNT, according to today's press release.

Under the emphasis of U.S. Women’s National Team head coach Emma Hayes, these camps focus on developing players in the U-23 age group as they continue to gain international experience.

“As Emma has been saying since she took over the National Team, getting meaningful international competition for this age group is invaluable,” Said Dyche. “Almost all of the NWSL players on this roster got quality minutes for their clubs this season, as have the players based at clubs outside the U.S., so we’re looking forward to seeing them together in matches against European teams while dealing with the long travel. These are ideal situations for players to continue their growth.”

Thompson, who already has caps with the senior team, will make another appearance on the youth team after attending October's training camps. She also competed with the senior team in April during a match against Brazil.

Tiernan and Shores will aim to make their marks on the international scale following their rookie seasons. Since joining Angel City on an official contract just two weeks before the season kicked-off, Tiernan has netted eight goals leading the count for most in the league for rookies. She was nominated for the 2025 NWSL Rookie of the Year alongside two other players featured on the roster.

Shores joined the Los Angeles side in July, playing 12 matches after winning the NCAA Championship the previous year with the University of North Carolina. Most recently, Shores scored the game-winner for the U-23s in the last minute against Germany on May 30.
