The NFC West will be in the spotlight when the Los Angeles Rams visit the San Francisco 49ers, in a battle of division rivals that will have a heavy impact on the standings.
The Rams (6-2) are tied atop the division with the Seattle Seahawks (6-2), both holding off San Francisco (6-3).
The Rams will be out for revenge after the 49ers took the first meeting, in Inglewood, 26-23, in Week 5.
Here's a quick glance at Sunday's game:
TV: Fox
LAST TIME OUT: Los Angeles 34-10 win over New Orleans; San Francisco 34-24 win at New York Giants.
LAST MEETING: San Francisco 26-23 OT at Inglewood on Oct. 2.
VEGAS LINE (courtesy Westgate): Rams 5, O/U 49.5
BETTING TRENDS: The Rams, who come into this game on a three-game win streak both SU and ATS, have won three of the last four meetings and have covered four of the last five. Five of the last six meetings have gone over the posted number.
RAMS KEY PLAYERS: Quarterback Matthew Stafford passed for 281 yards and four TDs versus 0 interceptions for a 140.8 rating last week, marking his 19th-career game with four or more TD passes. Stafford has thrown three or more TD passes in four of his past five, including a 389-yard, three-TD performance in the first meeting, when he finished with a 111 rating. ... Running back Kyren Williams rushed for 114 yards and had his 29th-career rushing TD last week, his 11th-career game with 100-plus rushing yards. Williams boasts 50 or more scrimmage yards in 36 straight games, the longest active streak in the NFL. He has 459 scrimmage yards (114.8 per game) and seven TDs (4 receiving, 3 rushing) in four career games against the 49ers. He's aiming for his fifth straight versus SF with 100 or more scrimmage yards. ... WR Puka Nacua had seven catches for 95 yards and his 12th-career receiving TD last week. He has five or more catches in 14 of his past 15 games. Nacua also has 85 or more receiving yards in six of his seven games this season, and three of his four career games versus San Francisco. ... Safety Quentin Lake has a career-high 10 pass deflections this season. He registered 11 tackles in the Week 5 meeting.
PROP TO WATCH: Davante Adams anytime TD (-135)
The veteran wide receiver has five touchdowns in his last two games, and tends to get fired up in his home area. The Bay Area native won't be able to sustain this pace the rest of the season, but it's hard to bet against the veteran wideout in a division rivalry, not to mention if Nacua is limited, if he even suits up. Adams, one of the best red zone targets in the league, leads the league with eight TD receptions.
49ERS KEY PLAYERS: Quarterback Mac Jones completed 19-of-24 passes (a season-high 79.2%) for 235 yards and two TDs versus 0 interceptions for a season-high 135.2 rating last week. Is one of three quarterbacks in the NFC, along with Sam Darnold and Stafford, averaging more than 260 yards passing per game (261.7). Jones passed for 342 yards and two TDs in the Week 5 meeting. ... RB Christian McCaffrey had 5 catches, 173 scrimmage yards (106 rushing, 67 receiving) and two touchdowns (1 rushing, 1 receiving) last week. He leads the NFL with 1,222 scrimmage yards and has eight games with 100 or more scrimmage yards this season. He has 36 catches (7.2 per game), 790 scrimmage yards (158 per game) and seven TDs (4 rushing, 2 receiving, 1 passing) in five career games against the Rams, with 135 or more scrimmage yards in each game. ... Tight end George Kittle has 50 or more yards receiving in five of his past six at home games against the Rams. ... Linebacker Tatum Bethune had a career-high 16 tackles and his first-career pass deflection last week. Since Week 6, he leads the NFL with 50 tackles, including 10 ore more tackles in all four games.
PROP TO WATCH: George Kittle anytime TD (+140)
San Francisco's star tight end has been relatively quiet since returning from a hamstring injury. He was targeted just two times in his first game back, and has been targeted nine more times the last two games. He has just one TD in the three games, and two this season. Kittle is always a matchup problem for opposing defensive units, and with six TDs in 13 career games against the Rams, it wouldn't be a shock to see him get one in this critical showdown.
