LOS ANGELES — Luka Dončić is adding a new arena to his game.
The Los Angeles Lakers star and NBA All-Star has partnered with Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch 2 to appear in the popular shooter’s Stadium Mode for Season 18. Known as “Sharpshooter 77” in the game, Dončić has reached Grandmaster status and even cracked the Top 500 leaderboard in North America, showcasing his competitive edge beyond the basketball court.
“Many have seen how competitive I am on the basketball court, but you may not know that I’m just as competitive when I’m playing Overwatch,” Dončić said. “I love this game, and am excited about this partnership. It’s special to be in the game in a way that other players can be part of.”

The partnership will roll out both in-game and in the real world. Overwatch-themed billboards featuring Dončić will appear across Los Angeles, Dallas, and Katowice, Poland, where Dončić is currently competing in EuroBasket with Slovenia’s national team. In Los Angeles, fans can expect to see his likeness around Crypto.com Arena and LA Live, while a Dallas billboard will be located steps from the American Airlines Center.
Within the game, players can unlock a series of Dončić-inspired features. The “Sharpshooter 77” player title headlines the release, along with a golden basketball weapon charm bearing his iconic No. 77, a new spray, and a 77 loot box giveaway. The collaboration also introduces special hero builds tied to his on-court persona, including “Luka Magic” Cassidy, “Lucio Dunk,” and “Hooper Zarya.”
The move continues Overwatch 2’s push to blend mainstream sports and gaming, tapping into Dončić’s crossover appeal with fans worldwide.
