An action-packed week five at the Esports World Cup has crowned three new winners. Team Secret took out the competition with tactical precision to emerge victorious in the Rainbow 6 Siege Esports World Cup. Twisted Minds kept steady and used their level play to grab the Call of Duty Warzone Esports World Cup crown. Then, in FC Pro, ManuBachoore pulled through in the clutch throughout the tournament to win the 2025 Esports World Cup.
Rainbow Six Siege
Team Secret came out of the gates strong with their close victory over Team Falcons in the Group Stage. They then carried this momentum into the next round of the Group Stage, dismantling W7M Esports en route to qualifying for the Playoff Stage. In the quarterfinal, Team Secret put on yet another dominant performance, sweeping Weibo Gaming. The semi-finals were more of the same, with Spacestation Gaming putting up very little resistance as Team Secret would win both matches 7 to 3. Now, in the Grand Final, Team Secret had yet to find a truly challenging opponent; however, G2 Esports were looking to change that. Unlike Team Secret, G2 Esports went through its share of struggles through the tournament, losing in the group stage and needing to qualify using the lower bracket. Despite that, they had battled back and were now in the Grand Final. However, G2 Esports was no match for Team Secret on this day as Team Secret swept the series and thus the tournament to claim the Rainbow 6 Siege Esports World Cup Crown.
Call of Duty Warzone
Twisted Minds had a solid start. In the first portion of the group stage, the A-B group, they were not able to win any of the three matches, but they did place high enough to score the fourth highest amount of points out of the A-B group. The A-C group play did not go as well for Twisted Minds as, despite a third-place finish in the final of the three games, their score in the first couple of matches led to an overall total score of seventh place. The above trend held when Group A played the B and C groups, with Twisted Minds placing inside the top three this time when facing group B, but placing just seventh yet again when facing off against group C for the second time. However, these performances were still good enough to place them over the qualification line and have Twisted Minds advance to the Grand Final.
Twisted Minds put on back-to-back great performances at the beginning of the Grand Final by placing second, then fourth in the first two matches. They would then falter a bit, placing seventh in the third round. However, Twisted Minds bounced back in a big way, placing in the top three in game four and winning game five. This strong start put them in a great position to win the entire tournament. And in game six, they were in a great position to do just that, but came up just short, placing second to 100 Thieves. In the subsequent two games, Twisted Minds struggled, placing outside the top five in both games. Then in game nine, they recaptured some of their spark, placing third. Now, with the tournament in the balance., Twisted Minds seized their moment, winning game 10 and thought that victory would become the Call of Duty Warzone Esports World Cup champions.
FC Pro World Championship
Team Liquid’s ManuBachoore had a thrilling first match of the Group Stage as he won a close 5 to 4 match vs Chris de Boer. ManuBachoore used this win as momentum, crushing Rampazzo 10 to 3 to advance to the Playoff Stage. Then, in the round of 16, he faced LJR Peixoto, who gave ManuBachoore a bit more of a challenge. However, ManuBachoore still won relatively comfortably 4 to 2. In the quarterfinal, ManuBachoore faced yet another tough challenge, squeaking by against Jonny 3 to 2. The semi final match was ManuBachoore’s easiest match since the group stage, as he was able to control the game, winning 5 to 2 against GuiBarros. Now in the Grand Final, one opponent separated ManuBachoore from glory: Brice. It had been an up-and-down journey for Brice this tournament. He started off with a big loss against Paulo Neto that nearly sent him home. However, he battled back through the lower bracket of the Group Stage, avenging himself against Paulo Neto to advance to the Playoff Stage. Brice then won a couple of relatively comfortable games before barely advancing to the Grand Final off a 5 to 4 nail-biter against Levi de Weerd. And the Grand Final was relatively. However, ManuBachoore proved to be too much for Brice. And on the back of a 5 to 3 victory, ManuBachoore became the FC Pro World Champion.
As we round into the final stretch of the Esports World Cup, the battle for first place seems to have become a two-horse race. Team Liquid, with a win in the FC Pro World Cup on the back of ManuBachoore, now holds the top spot with 4200 points. In second place, Team Falcon is 500 points away with 3700. Team Vitality rounds out the top three with 3150 points. Virtus Pro and Twisted Minds round out our top five with 2400 and 2200 points, respectively.
