LOS ANGELES -- The wait is finally over, as the Los Angeles Dodgers activated right-handed pitcher Tony Gonsolin from the injured list. It will be the first time we see Gonsolin on a major league mound in 20 months. In a corresponding move, Los Angeles has optioned right-handed pitcher Matt Sauer.
Gonsolin, 30, returns to the Dodgers after missing all of the 2024 season and 30 games in 2025 as he was recovering from Tommy John surgery. He made 20 starts in 2023 prior to the season-ending injury, going 8-5 with a 4.98 ERA. He was an All-Star in 2022 after posting a 12-1 record with a 2.14 ERA in 24 games. Gonsolin had a constant rehab schedule down in OKC to begin the 2025 season and posted a 3.21 ERA through 14 innings of work for the Comets.
Tony Gonsolin allowed 1 unearned run and 1 hit over 3.1 innings during tonight's rehab start in Round Rock.

Last season, he made his Major League debut in 2024 as a member of the Kansas City Royals and went 0-0 with a 7.71 ERA in 14 games.
