Apr 22, 2025; Las Vegas, Nevada, USA; Vegas Golden Knights center Ivan Barbashev (49) loses the puck between Minnesota Wild defenseman Zeev Buium (8) and Minnesota Wild defenseman Zach Bogosian (24) during the second period of game two of the first round of the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs at T-Mobile Arena.

The Golden Knights will play game 3 against the Minnesota Wild on Thursday at 6 p.m. PT, as the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs continues. Vegas last time out fell 5-2 to Minnesota, leading to what should be considered now a best of 5, with the series tied, 1-1.

Head Coach Bruce Cassidy addressed the media after game 2 on why puck management was a key factor in the loss, stating, "We didn’t take care of the puck. Typically, when things don’t go well for us, that’s where it starts.”

At one point, the Golden Knights were down 4-0 at home. If those parts of the game don't get cleaned up, Vegas could see them go behind in this series if they aren't improving in that area of their game.
