WASHINGTON –– LeBron James scored 24 points and 11 assists to lead the Los Angeles Lakers (27-19) to a 134-96 victory over the Washington Wizards (6-41) Thursday night before 17,491 at the Capital One Arena.
Seven players scored in double digits for Los Angeles, who have won five of their last six games.
The Lakers scored a season-high 134 points in the 38-point win, their largest victory this season. It is their second-largest win since 2011-12, trailing only last season's 44-point rout of the Pelicans.
With 78 first-half points, Los Angeles scored the most points the team has scored in any half this season. The Lakers carried a 78-45 lead into the half.
Jordan Poole scored 19 points to lead the Wizards.
Lakers rookie Dalton Knecht received his first ejection from an NBA game after arguing with the referees with 1:25 remaining.
After missing several games with left calf soreness, Rui Hachimura 22 points in his return. Shake Milton scored 21 points off the bench for Los Angeles.
