LOS ANGELES — Chibuzo Agbo scored 18 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals, and Josh Cohen scored 17 points to lift USC (9-4, 1-1 Big Ten) to an 82  to 51 nonconference victory Sunday over Southern University (5-7, 0-0) before 4,217 at Galen Center. 

The Trojans held the Jaguars to their lowest season total of 51 points. USC's defense has come into their own over the last five games, holding opponents to 62 points per game and 38% shooting from the field. 

USC outmatched Southern University in the paint, outrebounding the Jaguars 38-25. Saint Thomas led the team with eight rebounds. 

The Trojans wrapped their nonconference play on a four-game winning streak. 

At halftime, USC led 41-27.

The Jaguars looked for success from three-point range but never found any rhythm, shooting 10% from 22 feet out. Southern University missed its first 13 attempts from three-point range. 

USC and Southern University struggled to take care of the ball.  The Jaguars coughed up it up 19 times, while USC had 17 turnovers. 

Desmond Claude had 13 points, and Wesley Yates finished with 11 points. 

Jordan Johnson ended with 10 points, and Dionjahe Thomas had 10 points and 3 rebounds off the bench.
