Dodgers fall to the Astros on Bregman's walk-off homer (Los Angeles Dodgers)

Houston, we have a problem.

Alex Bregman hit a ninth-inning walk-off home run off reliever Blake Treinen, lifting the Houston Astros to a 7-6 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday night at Minute Maid Park.

Bregman's 14th homer sailed 407 feet over the railroad tracks suspended over left field. It erased a Dodgers lead that swelled to 5-0 the sixth inning.

Once the rookie starter Justin Wrobleski left the game, Houston piled on the Dodgers' bullpen.

Evan Phillips relieved Wrobleski, but he gave up four hits and four runs (two earned) on 15 pitches. Later in the game, Daniel Hudson came in and allowed two runs and three hits in two-thirds of an inning.

It was a heart-breaking loss for Wrobleski, who was on track for his first career win. He pitched 5 2/3 innings, allowing four hits and two earned runs, striking out two batters on 82 pitches.

As Wrobleski left the game with runners on the corners and a 5-0 lead, Roberts replaced him with Phillips, who had previously been removed from the closer role.

Catcher Yainer Diaz started the run for Houston with an RBI single off Phillips and Jeremy Pena reached on an infield hit, scoring Alex Bregman.

It did not stop there. Jake Meyers singled to the right to score Diaz and Victor Caratini came in to pinch-hit for Dubon, hitting a single to left that scored Pena and pulling the Astros to 5-4.

The bleeding stopped when Roberts brought in Anthony Banda to close out the sixth inning.

Despite the loss, Shohei Ohtani hit a massive home run to right field, measuring 443 feet, off Astros starter Ronel Blanco (9-5, 2.95 ERA). Ohtani leads the National League in home runs with 32 and boasts an .315 batting average. It seems like Ohtani is on track for another MVP-worthy season.

Cavan Biggio started the night with an RBI double to right field, scoring Kike Hernandez. Biggio hit a 374 ft home run to right field in the eighth inning that gave the Dodgers a 6-4 lead. He ended the night going 2 for 4 with a walk.

Gavin Lux was batting third in the lineup while Freddie Freeman was on family leave. Freeman is expected to rejoin the team in San Diego later in the week. Lux began the action in the fifth inning with an RBI single to score Ahmed, followed by Teoscar Hernandez, who hit a single despite being jammed by the pitch.

Blanco had no answers for the Dodgers' offense after they were shut out on Friday night. He finished the game after 4 1/3 innings, allowing three hits and four earned runs. Blanco struck out nine batters on 99 pitches during the game.

Jon Singleton tied the game in the eighth inning with an RBI single to right, marking his 26th RBI of the season.

Despite the game's fluctuations, the Dodgers allowed the Astros to tie the game in the bottom of the eighth, ultimately leading to the walk-off home run in the ninth.

The Dodgers at 11:10 a.m. Sunday are going with right-hander River Ryan (0-0, 0.00 ERA) for his second career start, while the Astros are starting right-hander Spencer Arrighetti (4-8, 5.65) for the final game of a three-game series.
