LAS VEGAS - The Oakland Athletics drew an announced sellout crowd of 8,805 for their spring training game against the Cincinnati Reds at Las Vegas Ballpark on Saturday.
The attendance for the exhibition game nearly mirrored what the Athletics draw for regular season home games in Oakland. The A's averaged 8,660 for home games in 2021 when the team went 86-76 and and an announced average of 9,849 last season when the team went 60-102.
The A’s are currently looking to build a new ballpark in either Oakland or Las Vegas. They are working with the City of Oakland on a $12 billion project in Howard Terminal that would include a new ballpark. They are also looking at three locations in Las Vegas to build a new retractable roof stadium.

The Oakland A’s have narrowed their stadium search in Las Vegas to the Tropicana and the Las Vegas Festival Grounds on the north Strip (behind Resorts World and Circus Circus, in front of The Strat and across from Sahara) where they would build a $1 billion domed ballpark. https://t.co/1Y8HovT6Ly pic.twitter.com/9JtH3KEsGR
