Jeff Moeller has been an adjunct professor at the University of Southern California for over 15 years and worked for the Los Angeles Kings for nearly 30 years, most recently serving as the senior director of the communications department where he actively guided all facets of the club’s communications, media services, publicity, broadcasting, publications, alumni, and heritage factions. Prior to that, he served as director, manager, coordinator, and intern.
With the Kings Moeller helped lead the organization’s media operations during the club’s 2012 and 2014 Stanley Cup Championships; three major hockey events at the Crypto.com Arena (2017 and 2002 NHL All-Star Games and 2010 NHL Entry Draft); and three outdoor games (Dodger Stadium; Levi’s Stadium; and Falcon Stadium). He worked a Kings game in 61 different venues and represented the team in nine countries and at eight NHL All-Star Games.
Previously he worked several major accounts for Los Angeles-based Brener Zwikel Associates, including Super Bowl XXXI and both Tyson-Holyfield championship bouts. He has experience as a PR game assistant for the Lakers and Angels and as a sports production assistant at KCBS-TV in Hollywood. His writing has been published in nearly 40 different media outlets.
Moeller graduated from California Lutheran University with a bachelor’s degree in communications. He lives in El Segundo with his wife, Jill, a high school teacher. Their daughter, Sydnee-Anne, is a junior student-athlete at the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs as a member of the lacrosse team. Their son, Scott, is a freshman at Sonoma State University where he plans to be active in school drama productions.
