LAS VEGAS — Kayla McBride scored 24 points and the Minnesota Lynx set a WNBA record for the largest road win in league history, routing the Las Vegas Aces 111-58 on Saturday.

The 53-point margin surpassed the previous mark set by the Houston Comets in 1998. The Lynx hit 17 3-pointers in the first half alone, including a perfect 8-for-8 effort from McBride, who helped Minnesota take a commanding 65-27 lead at halftime.

Jessica Shepard added 18 points and 14 rebounds, finishing with a game-high plus-46 rating, as the Lynx improved to 24-5 on the season.

The win was overshadowed by a potentially significant injury to star forward Napheesa Collier, who left the game late in the third quarter with a right ankle injury. Collier, a leading MVP candidate and the WNBA’s top scorer, landed awkwardly after colliding with a teammate in transition. She had 18 points at the time of the injury, including 14 in the third quarter.

“There’s no way around it. I can be both happy for our team and worried,” Lynx head coach Cheryl Reeve said after the game. “More than anything, we just want Collier, the human being, to be OK.”

The Aces, who fell to 14-14, were led by A’ja Wilson with 10 points but struggled to generate any offensive rhythm, shooting just 38 percent from the field and turning the ball over 19 times.

Minnesota wraps up its road trip Tuesday against the Seattle Storm. Collier’s status for that game remains uncertain pending further evaluation.
