Veteran sports talk radio host Scott Ferrall was among the on-air personalities laid off by SportsGrid, according to a series of social media posts made this week. The company has not officially commented on the reported departures.
Ferrall, known for his gravelly voice and decades-long run on national radio, had been hosting “Ferrall Coast to Coast” and other programming for the 24-hour sports wagering network. A tweet from the official "Ferrall on Grid" account posted Sunday read, “For everyone who has been asking, the show is unfortunately no longer on the air. Thank you to all the fans who have followed us over the years!"

Several colleagues, including SportsGrid host Mike Carver and contributors Jo Madden, Mathias Berbel and Brian Ciano, also posted messages announcing their time with the company had ended. Longtime host Gabriel Morency announced that his "SportsRage" show would no longer be on SportsGrid TV but he would remain as a contributor on other shows and that "SportsRage" would continue as a podcast.

Ferrall, 59, rose to prominence in the 1990s and 2000s with stints at Howard Stern’s channels on SiriusXM, CBS Sports Radio, and other national outlets. He joined SportsGrid in 2020 as the network expanded its gambling-focused content.
I received terrible news that I was unfortunately Laid Off from SportsGrid today.

Wish I could report better news but as the great @BlessedMMA would say.

I am currently a free agent & the resume is getting polished!

The reported layoffs come amid continued turbulence in the sports media industry, where wagering-focused programming has grown rapidly but faces increasing competition and economic pressure.
