LAS VEGAS -- It has been a long week and half and it's time to pack it up and go home. That was the vibe when watching the Los Angeles Clippers in their final summer league game vs the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday night. The Grizzlies would defeat the Clippers 105-82.
The Clippers had their first loss in summer league play at the hands of the the Denver Nuggets Thursday night. With that loss, they were eliminated out of any contention of playing for the championship. So this game felt like it was over much in the first half.

To be fair, three of the five main guys for the Clippers were out of action. Power Forward Kobe Brown who has not played since the first matchup against the Houston Rockets. Brown provides, interior play, defense, and experience that the Clippers have needed the last couple of games. Center Yanic Konan Niederhauser whom is their big man inside provides rim protection and rebounding. Finally their point guard Zavier Simpson who is their main ball handler. With these three guys missing out the Clippers came in this game at a disadvantage.
Jordan Miller had another strong performance for the Clippers with 24 points (8-11 FG) 6 rebs, and 2 assists. Miller has been the best player throughout the summer league, and will more than likely earn a roster spot if not with the Clippers another team in the league. Cam Christie poured in 15 points but was inefficient from the field (6-15).
While the Clippers had three guys out, the Grizzlies had seven players inactive so that sort of gives the Clippers no excuse to put such a lackluster performance. This loss really opened up the holes for this Clippers team with the limited outside shooting and ball handlers.
