TST's Best Bets: July 18th, 2025 taken in Las Vegas (sports betting)

On this Friday, bettors finally have a full slate of games after Thursday's no-show. Today we have three Baseball games that should be interesting. The Dodgers received a much-needed All-Star Break that should have helped them regroup after a miserable ending to the first half of the season. The Red Sox aim to extend their win streak to 11, while the Phillies hope to start the second half strong. Three bets that all have value and should help us profit before the start of the weekend. Here are today's picks brought to you by BetOnline.ag. Click here to join. All new players get a 50% welcome bonus and up to $250 in free bets.

First Pick: Los Angeles Dodgers Moneyline

Rundown: The Dodgers are at home and have a strong record there (33-17), especially when favored. They will be looking to avenge a recent sweep at the hands of the Brewers in Milwaukee.  While the Dodgers are on a two-game winning streak and feature potent bats like Shohei Ohtani and Freddie Freeman, who are ready to start the second portion of the season strong, the Brewers also boast a mediocre road record (23-23). Given the home field advantage and the desire for redemption, the Dodgers are a solid pick here.

Second Pick: Philadelphia Phillies Moneyline

Rundown: The Phillies are a strong team, particularly at home, with a 30-16 record at Citizens Bank Park this season. They are also facing an Angels team that strikes out a lot, averaging 9.66 strikeouts per game. Phillies pitcher Jesus Luzardo has been striking out batters at a high rate, with 122 strikeouts this season. The Angels have had some success on the road, with the third-best road record in the American League, but the Phillies' strong home record and Luzardo's pitching make them a good bet.

Third Pick: Chicago Cubs Moneyline

Rundown: The Red Sox are coming into this game as one of the hottest teams in baseball, having won 10 straight games before the All-Star break. However, the Cubs have arguably the most prolific offense in the first half of the season and are playing at home. A key player to watch will be Kyle Tucker of the Cubs, who has been performing well. The Red Sox will be looking to extend their winning streak, but the Cubs' offense and home advantage make this a toss-up, with a slight edge to the Cubs.
