LOS ANGELES -- During Wednesday's episode of The Jimmy Kimmel Show at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood things got heated as hart-topping singer/songwriter, Jelly Roll, was the guest host ahead of his upcoming in-ring debut at Summerslam next month.
Jelly Roll will be teaming up with 14-time WWE champion and third-generation superstar, Randy Orton, to take on Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul in a tag team match. The match is scheduled to be part of WWE’s first ever two-night show in the history of Summerslam.
Son of WWE Hall of Famer, “Cowboy” Bob Orton, The Viper has made a name for himself as one of the most entertaining and accomplished superstars in WWE. Tied with his Evolution counterpart, Triple H, Orton is tied with the third-most WWE championship wins at 14, behind Ric Flair (16) and John Cena (17).
Orton also talked about the back injury he sustained late that nearly ended his career, leaving him on the shelf for over a year. The Legend Killer underwent spinal fusion surgery while he was away before returning to in-ring competition at Survivor Series 2023.
While discussing their upcoming match at Summerslam, Orton discussed how hard Jelly Roll has worked to compete at one of WWE’s biggest shows.
“I have never seen somebody work so hard to get into our ring, to step into our world. It’s a lot harder than you might think watching at home on television or even being there live,” Orton said.
The relationship between Jelly Roll and Orton first began on Smackdown as The Viper was getting ready for a match against Drew McIntyre at Saturday Night’s Main Event in Atlanta. With Jelly Roll in Orton’s corner, Logan Paul would try to get involved that inevitably lead to a McIntyre firing a Claymore Kick to the side of Jelly Rolly’s head.

The brawl would continue on The Jimmy Kimmel Show as Drew McIntyre would make a surprise appearance and attack Randy Orton. Logan Paul would follow suit and confront Jelly Roll, leading to the Maverick slapping the musician in the face.
“I told you this, Mr. Dummy Roll, stay in your lane stupid!” Logan Paul said.
After slapping Jelly Roll in the face, the Tennessee songwriter would take action into his own hands, choke-slamming Logan Paul through the table that was met with thunderous applause.
The four will meet at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey in August that will determine who is the better celebrity turned wrestler between Logan Paul and Jelly Roll.
