LAS VEGAS -- The noise surrounding LeBron James' future is as loud as it's been during his stint in Los Angeles, but he still made time to stop by Bronny Jr. and the Lakers' 94-81 win over the New Orleans Pelicans at NBA Summer League.
While LeBron was sitting in the courtside seating in front of press row, ESPN's Dave McMenamin reported that four teams have contacted agent Rich Paul regarding the 21-time All-Star's availability in a potential trade. LeBron's frustration with the Lakers has reportedly reached a head, with recent updates suggesting that he was left in the dark regarding the franchise's recent change in ownership.
If you're a Lakers fan who is hoping that LeBron's appearance on Saturday was a sign of a relationship on the mend, I wouldn't necessarily hold your breath. When approached for comment by ESPN regarding his future in Los Angeles, LeBron declined, saying he had nothing to talk about. That's hardly a comforting reassurance.

As far as the action on the court, Bronny Jr. was a key cog in the Lakers' winning effort down the stretch. The 20-year-old scored nine of his 14 points in the second half, finishing 5-of-11 from the field overall. Cole Swider led the Lakers in scoring again, following up his 22-point performance against the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday with a 21-point, 10-rebound encore on Saturday.
The security team had LeBron under a presidential-esque detail, but two of the few VIPs who were able to introduce themselves to the NBA legend just so happened to be UNLV interim president Chris Heavey and athletic director Erick Harper. If LeBron's wish of owning part of the Las Vegas NBA expansion team comes to fruition, those three parties could end up becoming quite familiar with each other as distant siblings in the Las Vegas sports scene.

The Lakers' win on Saturday evened their Las Vegas Summer League record to 1-1, making them one of five teams to split their first two games so far. A team's Summer League title hopes could hypothetically sustain one setback, but two-loss teams are all but eliminated from the chance to raise the very trophy the Lakers raised after taking the Summer League crown in 2017.
