Fresh off their sixth consecutive series win, the Los Angeles Dodgers (53-32) hope to continue the momentum as they host the Chicago White Sox (28-56) for three games at Chavez Ravine starting Tuesday, July 1.
TEAM PREVIEW
Dodgers: As previously mentioned, the Dodgers are coming off their sixth consecutive series win after taking two of three from the Kansas City Royals at Kauffman Stadium. Los Angeles had a successful month of June as they finished the month with a 17-10 record (.629 winning percentage) that was mostly highlighted by Shohei Ohtani's pitching debut for the Dodgers on June 16 against the San Diego Padres. Since then, he has pitched two more times, obtaining a 2.25 ERA through four innings and striking out three. Most notably, Ohtani clocked in a fastball that read 101.7 on the radar gun in his last start, his fastest pitch recorded in his MLB career.

Baseball fans everywhere will also be keeping a close eye on this series, especially Clayton Kershaw's start on Wednesday, as he is just three strikeouts away from 3,000 career strikeouts. He would be the fourth southpaw in MLB history to join the exclusive club of lefties with 3,000 strikeouts, which includes Randy Johnson, Steve Carlton, and CC Sabathia.
After a forgettable start to his season, Andy Pages has found lightning in a bottle, as in June, he is hitting .324 with six home runs and 19 RBI, according to FanGraphs.com. Along with his tremendous arm in the outfield, he earned himself a finalist spot to represent the National League in this year's All-Star Game. He is not alone, as Ohtani has already punched his ticket to start in the summer classic with the most overall votes for the NL (3,967,668 votes), and Will Smith (C), Mookie Betts (SS), Freddie Freeman (1B), Teoscar Hernández (OF), and Tommy Edman (2B) look to join in on the festivities.
Phase 2 of All-Star voting is live! Get your votes in by 7/2 to send the Boys in Blue to Atlanta.

White Sox: The White Sox (28-56) are currently sitting in last place in the AL Central and are the second-worst team in the MLB, 11 games ahead of the Colorado Rockies for the No. 30 spot. Chicago is coming off a series win of their own, taking two of three against the San Francisco Giants, but had a 10-16 record to finish off their month of June (.384 winning percentage).
