KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Justin Wrobleski has found his calling as the bulk pitcher for the Dodgers, as yet again, he displayed another dominant outing, this time against the Kansas City Royals, tossing six scoreless innings, which ties his career high, along with six punchouts. Kiké Hernández, Will Smith, Max Muncy, and Miguel Rojas were the key contributors on offense as the Dodgers took the rubber match and secured the series win by a final of 5-1.
With this outing, Wrobleski has now pitched at least four innings or more in every relief appearance for Los Angeles this year and had his fastball working for him in this one, obtaining six of eight whiffs on the four-seamer. This is the southpaw's third stint with the Dodgers, and in his last 20 1/3 innings in bulk relief, he has only given up four earned runs.

Hernández began the scoring for the Dodgers in the second with his eighth home run of the season, a go-ahead two-run shot that was 105 mph off the bat, to give the Dodgers the lead. That hit would be the sixth-hardest hit ball of the season for the Dodgers.

Will Smith would follow that up in the sixth with a solo shot, his fourth home run in nine games, and Max Muncy plus Miguel Rojas capped off the scoring in the seventh for Los Angeles to secure the 5-1 victory.

The Dodgers win their sixth consecutive series and now hold a record of 53-32, the best in baseball. Los Angeles has a scheduled off day on Monday, before traveling back home to welcome the Chicago White Sox for three games, then awaiting the Houston Astros for a weekend series following that.
