OKLAHOMA CITY -- Since being placed on the IL initially on April 28 with right shoulder inflammation following a start against his old team, the Pittsburgh Pirates, and later transferred to the 60-day IL on May 31, it has been a bumpy road of recovery for the 6'8 right-hander. Still, Glasnow showed some forward progress in his rehab journey as he completed two full innings in a rehab start for Triple-A OKC Sunday Afternoon. His final line was two shutout innings, no hits, and walking three hitters on 48 pitches, 22 of which were strikes.

Overall, Glasnow looked great on the mound for his first rehab start, hitting 96 mph consistently on his fastball and topping out at 98 by the second. The cutter was also topping out past 90 mph and had a sustainable spin rate. He got into some trouble in the second as his command was starting to sputter, but he quickly wiggled out of a bases-loaded jam by inducing an inning-ending ground out to end his rehab.

Amid his IL announcement, Glasnow expressed his displeasure with his shoulder issues, calling it "frustrating" and "some of the changes led to other things taking over, and at this point, I am just trying to figure out what to do." There is no confirmed news on when Glasnow's next rehab start will be or what the next plan of action will be for him, but it is safe to say that this rehab stint was a step in the right direction for the Dodgers and Glasnow.
