Las Vegas Aces players celebrate after the final buzzer after a WNBA game between the Las Vegas Aces and the Dallas Wings, Friday June 13, 2025 in Las Vegas, Nev.

LAS VEGAS -- For the second time in three home games, a game-winning jumpshot from offseason acquisition Jewell Loyd propelled the Aces to what seemed like an improbable come-from-behind victory. This time, it came against the league-worst Dallas Wings by a score of 88-84, effectively putting makeup on a concerning showing all around.

With A'ja Wilson out for the night due to concussion protocol, the Aces surrendered an 18-0 run to begin the third quarter that eventually stretched to a 30-15 advantage for the Wings entering the fourth. Vegas entered the third quarter winning by nine points and eventually went down by as many as 13 points in the frame. With just over three and a half minutes remaining, the Aces trailed Dallas by 11 points (82-72) before closing the game with a 17-2 run en route to a four-point final margin.

Jackie Young led the Aces in scoring for a second consecutive game, tallying 28 points on 7-of-16 shooting. Loyd also appeared to get back on track offensively as a whole after a rough start to the season, making seven of her 13 attempts from the field en route to a season-high 21 points. Liz Kitley made her first career start in Wilson's absence, scoring 2 points in 18 minutes of action.

Arike Ogunbowale led the Wings with 26 points on 9-of-17 shooting, making 3-of-8 attempts from 3-point range. Paige Bueckers scored 16 points in her Las Vegas debut, shooting 7-of-9 from the field in addition to dishing out five assists. Wings starting forward Maddie Siegrist missed the game with a right knee injury, being replaced in the starting lineup by German rookie Luisa Geiselsoder.

The Aces made 26-of-62 shots (41.9 percent) from the field overall, including 10-of-29 (34.5 percent) from 3-point range. Dallas made 33 of its 70 attempts (47.1 percent) from the field and shot 8-of-20 (40 percent) from 3-point range. Even with Wilson out, the Aces outrebounded Dallas 36-29 overall.
