While we await Game 3 of the NBA Finals tomorrow, today’s lineup keeps the excitement rolling with plenty of baseball action and a WNBA game to keep us busy. Today gives us plenty of baseball prop bets, and game markets along with our WNBA Commissioner's Cup matchup.
First Pick: Los Angeles Angels Moneyline
Rundown: Today I like the Angels to beat the Athletics. The Angels have been on a sneaky run lately, winning 3 of their last 5 games against some solid competition. Although they sit three games under .500, Los Angeles has been making quite a push to get themselves in the picture. While the run line was tempting, the Angels are sending out Jose Soriano today, who poses a shaky 4.11 ERA. Although I do not like the pitching matchup, Los Angeles has quite a bit of momentum going into this one today and already took game one of this series, so back the Angels to keep their momentum going today.
Second Pick: Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres over 8.5 runs
Rundown: Tonight is another classic rivalry matchup between Los Angeles and San Diego. To make things even better, both teams are rolling and are at the top of the National League standings. These crucial games always seem to end in high-scoring affairs, or extra innings. With the Dodgers sending out newcomer Matt Sauer, and the Padres giving Dylan Cease the nod, both teams should be scoring a lot of runs. This is a very bettor-friendly over that I believe will hit around the seventh inning.
Third Pick: San Francisco Giants -1.5
Rundown: The Giants are another National League team from California that have their eyes set on a pennant. While we are still in the dog days of summer and teams can afford to drop a game or two, the Giants need to dominate tonight. With LA and San Diego facing off tonight, the Giants have a chance to pick up a game on either of them, and all that stands in front of them is a Colorado Rockies team that might break the all-time losses record. Tonight is too important of a game for the Giants, so I do not see them dropping one to a team like the Rockies.
Parlay of the Day: New York Yankees Moneyline and Sabrina Ionescu to score 15 + points.
Rundown: The Yankees are coming off a tough series loss to their rivals, the Boston Red Sox. While the Yankees bats were clicking all weekend, the starting pitching was not. Each game, the Yankees gave up at least six runs, which has been uncharacteristic of them. Tonight the Yanks send out Cy Young contender Max Fried. With how well the Yankees have been hitting, and one of the best pitchers in the game on the bump, it should be Yankees all day. Our second leg is for Sabrina Ionescu to score 15+ points. The Liberty are yet to lose a game and Sabrina Ionescu most certainly deserves a lot of the credit. While they take on a mid-tier Chicago Sky team, I see Ionescu stepping up in a big game tonight and doing her thing, which means scoring. 15 points is nothing for her so as long as nothing crazy happens, this line should not be much of a problem.
