LOS ANGELES -- Unprecedented is the word to describe LeBron James in his 22nd NBA season. Turning 40 midway through the season, his longevity and elite-level impact continued to defy the odds, earning second-team All-NBA honors to cap it off.

This nod makes it 21 straight years James has made an All-NBA appearance, earning second team for the fourth time in his career (13 first teams and four third teams).

James played in 70 games this season, averaging 24.4 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 8.2 assists. He and MVP runner-up Nikola Jokic were the only players this season to average over 20 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists—an outlier that screams he’s still not done.

At 40, James becomes the oldest player to make an All-NBA team as he is joined by Stephen Curry, Jalen Brunson, Anthony Edwards, and Evan Mobley to close out the rest of the second team squad.

This season's league MVPs, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jayson Tatum, Donovan Mitchell and Jokic, were among the best of the best as the first team select. Gilgeous-Alexander, Jokic, Antetokounmpo, and Tatum received a unanimous first-team vote from the global media panel, receiving all 100 votes to the top squad.

The third-team selection had a mixture of the NBA's future stars, with Cade Cunningham, Tyrese Haliburton, Jalen Williams, Karl-Anthony Towns, and James Harden earning the final team selection.
