Just last week Netflix announced March 7 as the release date for Drive to Survive season 7. With the 2025 Formula One campaign rapidly approaching, this series will offer viewers a great recap of last season and have us all relive the dramatic moments that occurred before we dive into a new chapter of Formula One. Although last season was filled with magical moments and action packed racing, a few moments stood out from the rest and fans will be eager to see how the series captured these spectacular memories. Let’s take a look at three breathtaking highlights that surely gave every fan goosebumps and will most likely be included in the show.

Lando Norris’ First Win

The 2024 Miami Grand Prix marked an unforgettable moment for Norris. After one hundred and ten Grand Prix weekends, Norris finally managed to obtain a race win for the papaya army. Norris attained P5 on qualifying day which was not ideal in terms of fighting for a race win but the possibility was surely there. On race day Norris held his position of P6 for quite a while but as the drivers out front entered the pits, Norris moved up into P1 for the time being. Staying out of the pits ended up being an amazing decision as an incident occurred between Logan Sargeant and Kevin Magnuseen. This incident brought out the safety car which allowed Norris to pit for new tires while maintaining the lead. Once the race resumed Norris drove to near perfection which granted him his first ever Formula One victory. Norris was without a doubt extremely emotional and CEO of McLaren racing, Zak Brown, could not have been more proud of the British driver. It will be interesting to see how Netflix captivated Norris’ big day in Miami.

Lewis Iconic Silverstone Win

“Eight times we’ve said it before, here’s a ninth for ya! Lewis Hamilton wins the British Grand Prix” is a line from Crofty that holds a special place in everyone’s hearts. The British Grand Prix was arguably the best race of the entire 2024 season. Throughout the entire race it was almost impossible to guess who would come out on top as all the drivers out front were battling for the lead. The wet and rainy conditions made pit wall strategies incredibly difficult since one bad move would destroy your entire race, which Oscar Piastri had to learn the hard way. Once the rain began pouring down Hamilton used his superior experience to overtake George Russel. This move put him up to P1 but that good fortune ended just as quickly as it started. Soon later the two McLaren’s caught up and overtook both of the silver arrows leaving Hamilton in P3. Once the rain had stopped Hamilton went onto the medium tires and with the help of Norris messing up his pit stop, the seven time world champion found himself in the lead of the race. Hamilton then managed his tries all the way to the checkered flag were he rewrote the history books by attaining the most wins ever at a single race track. Fans will be delighted to rewatch this spectacle of a race with all the behind the scenes shots that Netflix will have to offer.

Leclerc Monaco Win

Although the Monaco Grand Prix was far from being the most entertaining of races, the result was everything that both Ferrari and Formula One fans had dreamt of seeing. After five heartbreaking races at his home track, Leclerc managed to secure the win at the crown jewel of Formula One. Leclerc showed early on that he was rapidly quick out on track. He topped the timing tables in both Free Practice two and three which gave him momentum going into qualifying. Once qualifying day came around, Leclerc took full advantage of that momentum and secured pole position. On Grand Prix Sunday Leclerc managed the car flawlessly which gave him the well deserved win. This was a very special day and it will forever be remembered in both Ferrari and Monaco history.
