INGLEWOOD, Calif. — The Clippers stars return as they defeat the Washington Wizards 110-93 on Thursday night. Los Angeles’ had four starters return in this game after missing Wednesday night’s loss to the Boston Celtics. The Clippers are now 25-19 after the win and will get a day off before a Saturday night matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Here are some takeaways from the Clippers win over the Wizards:

The Clips stars return to action

After sitting out last night’s loss to the Boston Celtics, the Clippers returned four starters to their lineup.

James Harden, Norman Powell, Ivica Zubac and Kawhi Leonard were all ready to go to get Los Angeles back in the win column.

They didn’t disappoint.

The fearsome foursome combined to score 65 of the team’s 110 points.

These guys are the Clippers top players and when they are all available it makes them a tough team to beat.

A big first half helps the Clips walk away with win

With their star players back on the court Los Angeles wanted to make sure they got off to a good start and that’s what happened.

The Clippers had it going early on both ends of the floor.

In the first quarter, Derrick Jones Jr. had it going scoring 10 points in the period. His scoring touch carried over from the night before where he scored a career-high 29 points against the Celtics

Los Angeles walked out of the first quarter with a 30-20 lead as their defense was stifling. They forced five turnovers and allowed the Wizards to shoot just 8-for-23 in the quarter.

The second quarter was more of the same as the Clippers outscored the Wizards in the period 33-to-21 giving Los Angeles a 63-41 advantage at the half.

Terance Mann got things going in this period finishing the half with 11 points and the team’s defense continued to make it tough for the Wizards.

Seven players score in double figures

Los Angeles has been a team all year that has depended on his depth to overwhelm teams and you saw it on Thursday night.

The Clippers had seven players score led by Norman Powell with 22 points.

Jones Jr. cooled down from his hot start but still finished with 19 points on the night.

Leonard who returned after missing a few games added 15 points along with seven rebounds in 24 minutes.

It was just an all-around team effort on the night that led to a blowout win for the Clippers.
