Vegas Golden Knights celebrate taking the lead during the third period during NHL game against Anaheim Ducks on Monday Dec. 23, 2024 in Las Vegas.

LAS VEGAS -- The Vegas Golden Knights extended their win streak to four games and have won eight of their last nine with a 3-1 victory against the Anaheim Ducks at T-Mobile Arena.

Tomas Hertl and Keegan Kolesar had a goal and an assist each. Tanner Pearson notched a goal, while Adin Hill made 31 saves for Vegas (23-8-3).

“We're playing good hockey. We're collecting points, so that's good,” Vegas forward William Karlsson said. “Now we got a three-day break, and we've got to stay on the track.”

How the Goals Were Scored

The Golden Knights took a lead in the first period at the 19:19 mark when Pearson scored with a wrist shot from the high slot.

After a scoreless second period, Mason McTavish leveled the game 1-1 at 1:13 of the third period.

Hertl broke the tie at the 9:36 mark, tapping in a backhand goal from a Jack Eichel pass from near the wall to make it 2-1.

“I like to always be in the front, so I just try to skate to the net,” Hertl said. “I was kind of alone, and Jack made a great play. You know, he's the best player. He makes plays all year round, and he finds me. I just made a move to the backhand because the goalie didn't expect it, and I just finished it. So, I'm really happy for that.”

Kolesar added an insurance goal at 15:50 of the third period, one-timing a Karlsson backdoor pass at the far post.
