SANTA CRUZ, Calif. – The San Diego Clippers (8-5) dominated the Santa Cruz Warriors (6-7) and took a decisive 123-89 win at Kaiser Permanente Arena.

In typical San Diego fashion, the game saw seven players in double-figure scoring, which seems to be the baseline for a solid Clipper victory. Very similar to where NBA teams hitting a specific statistical benchmark, it yields a higher chance of victory for them.

All Clippers had a positive plus-minus for the game.

Something that also helped them in the win tonight was a better start to their 3 point shooting, starting 5 of 6, and finishing 13 of 35 for the game, over 37%.

Braxton Key tied his career high in the game with 21 points, going 9-9 on field goals and 3-3 on 3 point shooting. He also had 9 rebounds and 7 assists, and was a game high plus-minus of 29. Overall an extremely efficient night for Key.

RayJ Dennis was the other player with over 20 points, getting 21 as well on 9-13 shooting.

The Clippers won every single quarter, and were up 75-48 at halftime. The dominance continued into the second half where they outscored Santa Cruz by another 7 points to take the win.

Quentin Post, the Warriors second round draft pick in this year’s NBA draft, led the way for them with 22 points of his own.

With this being the second to last game of the NBA G League Tip Off Tournament, the Clippers will conclude it with a rematch against Santa Cruz, on Dec. 15. Game will begin at 5 p.m. pacific.

Looking further ahead, this will lead into the Winter Showcase, and then the regular 34-game season will begin on Dec. 27, where the Clippers will play the Memphis Hustle.
