LOS ANGELES — The Clippers hold off the Warriors late picking up the 102-99 upset win on Monday night. Los Angeles played great defense throughout the game and made some clutch baskets late to pickup the win. The Clippers are now 8-7 and will face off against the Orlando Magic on Wednesday night.

The Clippers slow down the Warriors
The Warriors came into this game averaging a whopping 121.3 points per game only behind the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Boston Celtics.
The Clippers came into this game allowing 109 points per game and their defense performed better than expected.
In a slow paced 00s type of game. The Clippers made it tough for the Warriors throughout the night.
Golden State scored their lowest total of points in a game this season tonight against Los Angeles.
The Clippers physicality and toughness was too much for the undersized Warriors team.
Powell scores 23 points to lift Los Angeles
Norman Powell has been the best scoring threat for the Clippers so far this season. He has had his struggles the last couple games but bounced back tonight.
Powell led the Clippers in scoring with 23 points on 9/16 shooting. He was 5/6 from three making some clutch shots late in the fourth quarter.
This was Powell’s first 20-point game since his ten straight games with 20-points or more ended three games ago against the Houston Rockets.
He was back to scoring from all levels and being a recipient of some well placed James Harden passes.
Let’s see if this will be a start of a new streak for the former Bruin.
Los Angeles wins the battle of the benches
The Warriors bench has played well throughout the season and has usually outperformed most opponents benches.

The Clippers second unit led by forwards Amir Coffey and Terance Mann was the difference tonight.
Los Angeles bench outscored Golden State’s bench 45-28 on Monday night.
Coffey finished with 15 points and 5 rebounds while Mann added 10 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds. Four players scored 8 points or more from the Clippers second unit and in a low-scoring game like tonight. It was huge.
The move to the bench for Mann has been a great move so far bringing the best out of the team’s second unit after struggling earlier this year.
