SAN ANTONIO –– LeBron James notched his fourth consecutive triple-double, and Anthony Davis scored 40 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Los Angeles Lakers (8-4) to a 120-115 victory over the San Antonio Spurs (6-7) Friday night in an Emirates NBA Cup group match before 18,916 at Frost Bank Center.
In his 117th triple-double, James scored 15 points, 16 rebounds and 12 assists. In his 22nd season in the NBA, this is the first time in James' career notching four-straight triple-doubles.
Six players scored double figures for Los Angeles to secure their second road win (2-4).
The Lakers took a 68-60 lead into the half.
Los Angeles out-dueled San Antonio from deep, shooting 45 percent to 38 percent from the three-point line.
Austin Reaves went six of 12 from the field, scoring 19 points, and Dalton Knecht shot two for four from three, scoring 14 points for Los Angeles.
Victor Wembanyama scored 28 points and 14 rebounds, and Stephon Castle scored 22 points for the Spurs.
