Nebraska Cornhuskers guard Emmanuel Bandoumel (25) defends against Purdue Boilermakers guard Braden Smith (3) during the first half at Mackey Arena on Jan. 13, 2023.

The San Diego Clippers selected Garrett Denbow with the 27th pick and Emmanuel Bandoumel with the 31st pick in the first round of the 2024 NBA G League Draft, held on Saturday, Oct. 26.

Denbow, a product of the Anderson University Trojans, led scoring with 19.4 points per game last year. He also grabbed 3.9 rebounds per game. He shot over 41 percent on 3-point field goals and hit over 84% at the free throw line. He finished his college career average with 17.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 0.9 assists per game.

Bandoumel last played in 2022-2023 season for the Nebraska Cornhuskers. As a senior, he posted 8.4 point and 4.8 rebounds per game in 20 appearances for the Huskers before he went down with a season ending knee injury. For his career, which included 3 seasons at Southern Methodist University, he averaged 8.8 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game.

Both Denbow and Bandoumel are guards, with the prior standing at 6-foot-6 and the latter at 6-foot-4. Denbow, with a high 3-point career percentage, will make an impact on the offensive side of the ball, while Boundoumel will be viable defensively as he helped his Huskers be a top 35 ranked defense before his injury.

The Clippers have yet to release a full roster. Opening night is Nov. 8 against the Rip City Remix (G League affiliate of the Portland Trailblazers).
