CARSON, Calif. -- Arsenal plays Bournemouth tonight at Dignity Health Sports Park and The Sporting Tribune's Kamran Nia is on the scene with the latest updates.

18 minutes into the match, Arsenal took the lead after creating most of the early chances. Midfielder Fabio Vieira finished a volley to put the Gunners ahead. Reiss Nelson served the ball to him.

73 minutes into the match, Bournemouth finally broke through. Antoine Semenyo's shot deflects off Arsenal defender Ben White and into the back of the net.

"Arsenal are used to coming here [to the United States], but it is something very important for us as a club," said Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola. "I am not talking only on the sporting side; maybe a lot of the people here didn’t know us or our players, now they will be more looking at AFC  Bournemouth. It takes a lot of time to build a brand."

The final score was 1-1. Arsenal defeated Bournemouth in the penalty shootout (5-4)
