Austin Stanovich is a sports writer and editor covering the Los Angeles Kings. He is in his second season as a credentialed writer covering the NHL and his first season as a member of the PHWA. He previously covered the Kings for The Hockey News. A lifelong player and fan of the sport, Austin combined his two passions, writing and hockey, and began his career as a sports journalist in 2021. After returning to school and earning his master's degree in Specialized Journalism from the University of Southern California, Austin joined The Hockey News in October of 2023.
