Welcome back Kenny Pickett.
Las Vegas Raiders coach Pete Carroll announced starter Geno Smith will sit this one out, which means Pickett, who entered last week's game against the Broncos in the fourth quarter, will start against the team he won a Super Bowl ring with last season.
The Raiders are clinging to one thing at this point, and that's a top-two draft pick in April, provided it continues to tank - er, lose - over the final four weeks. It shouldn't be a problem considering who's left on their schedule.
The defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles, meanwhile, are in a good spot for a get-right game, as things haven't been flowing smoothly of late.
Here's a quick glance at Sunday's game:
TV: FOX
LAST TIME OUT: The Raiders lost to the Broncos, 24-17; the Eagles lost at the Chargers, 22-19, in overtime.
LAST MEETING: Raiders defeated Philadelphia, 33-22,on Oct. 24, 2021.
VEGAS LINE (courtesy Westgate): Eagles -12.5, -108, O/U 38.5
BETTING TRENDS: The Raiders have lost seven straight on the field and three of four at the window. Las Vegas has gone over in its last two games after allowing an average of 27.5 points per game. The Eagles are nursing a three-game losing skid both SU and ATS. Philadelphia has stayed low in five straight.
RAIDERS KEY PLAYERS: Selected by the Steelers with the 20th overall pick in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft, Pickett has appeared in eight games since leaving Pittsburgh in 2024. He's thrown for 396 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. Pickett completed 8-of-11 passes for 97 yards and led two fourth-quarter scoring drives totaling 10 points in last week's loss. ... RB Ashton Jeanty had 38 scrimmage yards (30 rushing, 8 receiving) last week versus Denver. Jeanty ranks second among rookies in rushing yards (665) and scrimmage TDs (8). He's aiming for his third straight with 60 or more scrimmage yards on the road. ... WR Jack Bech turned in career-highs in receptions (6) and receiving yards (50) last week.
PROP TO WATCH: Ashton Jeanty anytime scorer (+170)
With the weather expected to be below freezing, a cold-hard football will be better served in the arms of a big, bruising running back. Jeanty could get plenty of reps when the Raiders are inside the 10.
EAGLES KEY PLAYERS: QB Jalen Hurts passed for 240 yards in last week's loss in Inglewood. He has a passing TD in two of his past three games and four of his past five in Philadelphia. He's aiming for his fourth straight with 230 or more yards passing. He threw for 236 yards and two TDs in the last meeting. ... RB Saquon Barkley led the team with 122 yards rushing and a TD last week. He has 70 or more scrimmage yards in five of his past six games. Barkley ranks third in the NFL with 10,715 scrimmage yards since 2018. ... TE Dallas Goedert had a team-high eight receptions and 78 yards receiving last week. He ranks tied for second among tight ends with seven TD catches this season.
PROP TO WATCH: Jalen Hurts passing yards over 210 (+106)
The Raiders are allowing 211.8 yards passing per game this season, which gives you a little insight as to why the number is 210 for Hurts. Though the weather conditions might affect the Raiders, and the reason Jeanty is a good choice, this is Philly's home turf, and Hurts has thrown for an average of 253.0 per game in his last three contests.
