LOS ANGELES -- Just when the USC Trojans couldn't afford to lose anyone else on both sides of the ball heading into a crucial month of November, the injury bug struck again as Head Coach Lincoln Riley announced to the media after Tuesday's practice that defensive tackle Jamaal Jarrett will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing an unknown surgery.

The redshirt sophomore had not stepped onto the field since the Illinois game and will become the third Trojan to undergo a season-ending injury. Jarrett played in five games in 2025 for USC, racking up three total tackles and one interception that he converted to a 'thick-six' en route to a Trojans win over Purdue.

With the multitude of players on both sides of the ball for the Trojans fighting their way back to return as the calendar turns to November, the loss of Jarrett will be felt at defensive tackle, but the opportunity will arise for more snaps for an up-and-comer.

The Trojans look ahead to this Friday as they are set to host the Northwestern Wildcats at the Coliseum. Following this Friday's game comes a paramount slew of games for Southern California, including their final two home games against Iowa and UCLA, paired with their toughest road test of the year in Oregon.
